"With 17 years of experience in dog training, I've had the privilege of working with numerous dogs, including three national champion Agility dogs. My expertise has not only earned my own dogs top honors but has also empowered several of my clients to reach their national championship goals. A highlight of my career was winning the 2024 National ASCA Overall High In Trial Championship with my talented dog, "Superfly Dancing with the Devil" (Diva), in Nebraska. When I'm not training, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors with my canine companions, sharing my passion for dog agility, horseback riding, and the beauty of nature."

Hello, My name is Charlene Lewis, assistant trainer to Tammy Robinson, (who is also my mother. I began my Agility journey in 2009 alongside her, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the unfortunate passing of my fist agility dog m, at the young age of 6. We didn’t make it to Championship levels. I started all over again with a new puppy. we worked our way up to Championship levels and started completing seriously in 2019. My first Agility champion is Buckleup Breezy, together we have excelled, consistently ranking among the top competitors. We achieved 1st place in the Finals point standings for the 2023/2024/2025 seasons and in all divisions of the Merit awards. Over the past three years, Breezy has been in the top 5 in ASCA, most recently, we placed 3rd in the ASCA Veteran Division Finals 2025 and 5th in Nationals. My other dog, Jubilee’s Odin, also impressed with an “8th place“ top 10 Standard Elite finish in the Finals 2025. I am very proud to not just have 1, but 2 Finals Champions this year! I have a third dog, a rising star, who is just shy of becoming an Agility champion, One in A Dillon. I’m excited for his future.
I primarily train our BootCamp Agility 1 and 2 program designed for our beginner clients. We strart with private classes and work our way to group classes. I also implement Techniques that comply with official obedience and rally maneuvers In AKC and ASCA. At the initial start of the program we work on setting boundaries and impulse control. Behaviors around other dogs and excitement. I will also help you work through specific points of behavior concerns. I book clients privately competing in venues like USDAA, UKI, and AKC, which require various maneuvers and skills.
With a background as an equine riding instructor, teaching comes naturally to me as I continue to develop as a skilled handler. I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals and witnessing their growth and journey to excellence.

It all started 6 years ago with my rescue, an 18 pound corgi/aussie mix named Pebbles. I will say I was a little intimated about calling a Dog Agility CLUB. 😳 I wanted to try dog agility just for fun, there was no way I was going to compete.
Six years later here we are, I have my Agility Championship with Pebbles. I also have a 2.5 year old Aussie, named Chili that I competed with at Nationals in 2024 and 2025. At Nationals this year we competed in Rally for the first time and got our RNX Title in Novice. In Agility we are in Elite and working on our Championship.
Not only am I competiting in Agility and Rally, I teach a beginning agility class one day a week, so I'm training newbies just like I was six years ago. Who would of ever thought. 😊

About 6 years ago I started training at the SCV Dog Agility Club to help expand my experience handling, training and competing with dogs. I have studied dog obedience with many different instructors over the years and have put this knowledge into practice helping others, as well as with my own dogs. I started training in Agility 6 years ago and have also assisted Michele in teaching Beginning Agility.
In the midst of COVID, my youngest dog, Sadie, was born. Because of quarantines, Sadie did not have the opportunity to be properly exposed to other people or dogs during the crucial “socialization period” of her puppyhood. I found myself with a reactive, high-energy dog that was hard to control and difficult to take anywhere. I knew we needed help. I signed up for Obedience classes so she could be around other dogs and started working with her. Sadie is an enthusiastic learner (willing to do anything for a treat) and so, with hard work, we were on our way to social civility. After completing our Obedience class, we moved into a Beginning Agility class. I thought I would try it out and see if this sport interested her. As it turned out, Sadie loved to run, jump, and shoot through thosetunnels! We were having lots of fun together and Agility was reinforcing and expanding our Obedience skills. I never had any desire to compete. Nope, nope, nope! Just want to have fun with my dog! Fast forward to today – Sadie has earned 14 Titles and won “High in Trial” four times! Ha! We have now started Rally training. Rally is a combined Obedience and Agility sport. You and your dog must have a strongbond and good obedience skills in order to navigate a course of obedience exercises. This is a challenging sport requiring skill and control and I look forward to conquering the Rally courses with Sadie.
I thoroughly enjoy helping dogs and their handlers tackle and master their obedience challenges. I firmly believe that Obedience is the foundation, not only for Agility and other dog sports, but for a better life with your dog. It teaches you how to improve your connection with your dog and build a cooperativerelationship. Obedience teaches your dog what to expect from you. When they understand what you want them to do, they are more secure, focused, confident, and want to please you. A well-behaved dog gets to go places, meet people, and have fun. And awell-behaved dog makes your life easier!
